Below is a list of possible volunteer opportunities in the Freehold/Monmouth County Area.  The Freehold Public Library doesn't endorse or certify any of these and recommends interested volunteers thoroughly investigate what's involved before committing to any effort.

Volunteering Opportunities 

 

  1.  United Way of New Jersey

-Volunteer website for Monmouth County, NJ. Website gives the option for new volunteers, returning volunteers, non-profit agencies, etc. By clicking on “New Volunteers” (https://volunteer.truist.com/uwomc-10/volunteer/), you can search the different opportunities available by clicking under “Opportunities” under the tab on the right called “Local Statistics.” Each opportunity gives a brief description as well as the age and other requirements. You can then fill out an application whenever you choose to.

 

  1.  American Red Cross

-Go on website and read “Volunteer in Six Easy Steps” to find out more about volunteering opportunities. If interested in disaster volunteer, click the “Disaster Volunteer” link under the “Volunteer” tab on the left side of the page.

-You can go onto the website and search for more opportunities and involvements, based on if you’re in a K-12 grade, in college or are a young professional.
